By accessing or using Arioso ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you disagree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Arioso is an AI-powered learning tool that helps users understand academic papers through structured, guided conversations. The Service processes PDF documents you upload, generates personalized learning paths using AI, and provides interactive tutoring conversations.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By using Arioso, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, all activity under your account, and notifying us immediately of unauthorized access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Your Content

Ownership: You retain all rights to documents you upload. We do not claim ownership of your content.

License to us: By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process it solely for providing the Service. We do not store your documents longer than necessary to deliver the service, and we do not use your documents to train AI models.

Your responsibility: You must have the right to upload any document you submit. Do not upload confidential documents belonging to others without authorization.

6. AI-Generated Content

The learning paths, questions, and explanations generated by Arioso are created by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. The Service is a learning aid, not a substitute for expert instruction. You should verify critical information independently.

You may use AI-generated content from your sessions for personal and academic purposes.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, upload malicious files or attempt to compromise the Service, reverse engineer or extract the underlying AI models, resell or commercially redistribute the Service, or misrepresent AI-generated content as human-written in contexts where this matters.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by Arioso and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks, branding, or proprietary technology.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that AI-generated content will be accurate or complete, or that the Service will meet your specific requirements.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arioso shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €50 if the Service was free.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Berlin, Germany.
